"Thank you, David, for a MOST therapeutic breathing session. When I've done the Ring of Breathing with your guidance during your regular sessions, I've usually experienced some anxiety, including "when will this end?" That did NOT happen today - in fact, I was surprised when you announced that the hour was almost over, and that was not because I fell asleep (I did not). More importantly for my healing, the discomfort I am still experiencing in my fractured knee dissipated during the session as I focused my breath into the injury. So far, the knee is calm.
Gratitude for helping me heal myself through breath work." --🙏 Jeff, St Louis

THE RETREAT

During this day-long retreat, we will use conscious, continuous-breathing techniques for standing, sitting, and lying down, along with other breath-driven movements, including Qi Gong and yoga sequences. Particular Pranayama techniques, Meditation, and Yoga Nidra practices will be woven into these sessions and into silent walks in nature through Green Gulch Farm and Muir Beach.

The retreat is designed to release stress, unblock stagnant energy, calm and soothe the nervous system, and open the energetic pathways that allow profound healing.

“Daniel and I have been talking about this workshop since leaving! All of your retreats are so special, but this one really tapped into something with me. I really felt a shift in consciousness with this one, and I keep reflecting on what it was like to be in that state during the breathing exercise and how amazing it was. You did such a great job of preparing us for it and leading us through it so that we could safely surrender. What an amazing experience.”—Sonja, El Cerrito

“Green Gulch was such a special day that left me feeling inspired and invigorated! You are a true teacher – masterful! With gratitude.”—Heather, Bolinas

"Wow David, that was simply amazing I was finally calm grounded very present and very very very happy!!! I even fell asleep for a moment! So, thank you so much. I love your retreats!!!" —Susan, Oakland

"It was amazing.  I don’t know exactly when my mind turned off, but off it turned, and on came the breath.  Thank you.  All of me is grateful, even my anxious, over-controlling brain.  (At the end of the day, my brain’s not stupid.  It just has some bad habits it’s hanging on to."--Peter, Berkeley

“I wanted to thank you for last night’s session. It was a great reminder of what is important: our health, those around us and what we can control. I really liked the incorporation of more movement than I expected to let the positive energy build up and the stress to wash away. Based on what I think transpired last night, you may need to teach that class more often.”
